What I'm Working On...

I ordered prints of about 80 of my Instagram photos from Origrami.com
They print the photos similar to retro Polaroids and as an added bonus, for the back you can choose from a few different themes like a retro camera silhouette, postcard style, a map of your Instagram photo location...or it'll print the first comment from your Instagram post...doesn't matter which you order, they're all super cute.
Sorta makes me cringe when I glue it down cause the back is just as cute as the front.
And if pretty packaging is your thing, you'll love that your photos come in a cute little "photo file" box with a white silhouette of a retro camera printed on it (just like on the back of the photos.)
I've been slowly adding my origrami prints to this journal I made at the end of 2012...
I still have a million photos to add but I'm just taking my time, enjoying the process.

Maybe I'll finish by the end of 2014?

Happy Friday!

Since we're still getting snow in Minnesota, (yes, in May) and I have no desire to be outdoors in the snow, I decided to make one of my "It's About Us" albums for my Etsy store...it's coming along slowly though I'll certainly have time to work on it today...

I'll turn on some JT The 20/20 Experience, forget about the snow falling outside and try to enjoy my Friday!

Etsy Shop Update

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope everyone's 2013 is off to a good start! I've recently listed these shabby albums in my Etsy shop.
Do you ever make something with the fullest intentions of selling it then desperately hope that nobody buys it? I have that feeling about one of these albums...but I'll never tell which one!

Weekend Road Trip...

The hubby and our youngest have been taking some fun weekend trips (they're away in Chicago right now)...so because I haven't been able to tage along, we decided to take a weekend trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan, on the spur of the moment a few weeks ago.
We left really early Friday morning and made the 8 hour drive in order to arrive on the Island right at check-in time.  There are no motorized vehicles allowed on the Island (only bicycles and horses) and you can only reach it by Ferry.
On the ferry we purchased a $1 booklet showing all the historical sights, walking paths, restaurants, shops...just about everything you could want or need.
The island was beautiful, lots of old victorian cottages (mansions), hollyhocks everywhere and the sound of horses trotting up and down the streets...definitely one of my favorite weekend getaways!
We'll be going back next year, this time we'll concentrate on the HAUNTED areas of the island...and there are many!

Farewell (for now...)

Well, we're off to spend a few days in the sand and a few days with Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
I even managed to make myself a journal so I can record everything as it happens instead of when I get back (especially since last years' spring break memories are shoved in a drawer in my studio still waiting to be glued into a book)
I hope you all have a fantastic Easter and a fun-filled spring break (if you haven't taken it yet!)

A special thanks to Papa for coming all the way to Texas to watch the dogs (I'm so glad our snow is melted and the weather has been somewhat warm...at least "warm" to us Minnesotans!)

My Shop is Restocked!

I got my Esty store restocked this morning with these five floral journals...
I also listed a few Christmas items and, as promised, pictures of all the pages of this fun Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly paper bag album...

And I couldn't resist making one for myself...you never can have too many mini albums!
