It was a Saturday full of crafting...we worked on all sorts of things and Sebastian spent the day sketching, his artwork is so adorable I'll be sure to post that as soon as his
masterpiece is complete. I've been wanting to do a "love birds" collage ever since Julie posted the tutorial
here. This is how mine turned out...so easy and so much fun!
We took a break from crafting to see Tim Burton's much anticipated
Alice in Wonderland...we saw the 3D version and it was well worth the extra money, a few times I had to fight the urge to reach out and grab the things "popping" out of the screen! Loved the movie...my only disappointment was that I didn't find it as colorful as I wanted...I understand why it was sort of a dark movie, I just wanted more color. If you get a chance to see it in 3D I highly recommend it!

My Grandmother Elsie had twelve children, my father was #5 and the second of only 4 boys...can you imagine living in a house with 8 girls?
I'm not sure how old he was when this beauty was taken, I'm guessing maybe 10th grade...isn't it marvelous? It's my all-time-favorite!
And this is a picture of him in his Navy uniform...wish I knew what happened to all his Navy gear...sure would love to hoard...I mean have some of it.
And here's what he looks like now, surrounded by all but his two youngest grandchildren. 
This morning when I slid open the back door to let the dogs out I heard something that made me very cheery...birds chirping...and lots of them! Our temps have climbed into the 40's for the past few days, our 33 feet of snow is beginning to melt and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate at work...I definitely have spring fever!
